![]() | The Owl Nebula, M97, is one of the more complex planetary nebulae. Appearing in the constellation Ursa Major, it is also one of the fainter Messier objects. In a 8" scope, the nebula is easy to detect and the edges are rather sharply defined, but there isn't any sign of the "eyes". There is just a hint of color variance throughout, but nothing really definite. About the best view is at 122X. |
