11. NGC2237-44 Rosette Nebula
Here is a combination object: the large though very faint Rosette nebula and its sparse cluster of stars (NGC 2244). Though the cluster can be seen with the naked eye under good conditions,' the nebula presents a challenge. Good binoculars reveal a formless glow of light surrounding the cluster. At 50 power in a 16 inch scope the nebula looks double, and at 130x a bridge of light connected the two parts. Observation will reveal that the Rosette is much fainter than the Helix nebula (NGC 7293) in Aquarius.
