NGC2168 (M35) Open Cluster

11. NGC2168 (M35) Open Cluster
M35 is one of the most beautiful open clusters, and most of its 150 or so stars are bright and spread evenly over a large area. Since there are relatively few faint stars, telescopes larger than 10 inches in aperture do not substantially improve the view.
Often unnoticed on the outer edge of M35 is NGC 2158, a compact but dim open cluster. To see NGC 2158 well, a 10-inch or larger telescope is necessary.
