10. NGC1976 -1982 (M42 & M43) Orion Nebula
The Great Nebula in Orion is the most magnificent celestial object available to visual observers. Greenish wreaths of gas are accented by dark lanes of obscuring dust. The Orion nebula is visible to the naked eye as a blur around the 4th-magnitude star Theta Orionis, which is actually a multiple system that includes the famous Trapezium. Fine views of the Orion nebula can be seen with a 10-inch reflector using a ultra wide angle eyepiece.
